Update on 18/09/2023:
We are pleased to advise the repairs to Lock 7 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal are now complete, and navigation has resumed between Lock 6 West and Lock 8 West, Stalybridge.
Update on 15/09/2023:
Navigation remains closed between Lock 6 West and Lock 8 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal due to an issue with the paddle at Lock 7 West.
Our teams have now investigated the cause and are gathering the required materials and equipment. They will be back onsite Monday morning to attempt the repair.
A further update will be provided Monday afternoon, 18 September.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (12noon Wednesday 13 September 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is currently closed at Lock 7 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal due to a paddle failure.
Padlocks have been placed on Lock 6W and Lock 8W whilst our teams look in to a method of repair and a further update will be provided Friday 15 September.
