Please be advised that an obstruction, believed to be a wooden post attached to a ball of concrete, has been reported in the canal, approximately 10 Metres / 30 feet, down stream of Bridge 36.
It is about 1.5M out from the bank, directly opposite a large willow tree, and barely visible from the surface.
Please navigate this stretch of the canal very slowly and with extreme caution, while keeping as close to the willow as safely possible.
We are arranging to remove the obstruction early next week and will update this notice when complete.
