Due to elevated river levels works have been delayed until Wednesday.
ADVICE (7.30am-5.30pm Monday 7 August 2023)
Contractors working at the hydro plant close to Thrybergh weir will be lowering the river level upstream of the weir by approximately 200mm for maintenance purposes. The drawdown will commence on Monday 7th August at 07:30hrs, or as soon after as circumstances permit. The works will be dependent on weather conditions, any changes to the program will be added to this notice.
The drawdown is expected to be completed and water levels returned to normal by 17:30hrs
Water levels from Swinton Lock to Aldwarke Lock will be affected throughout the drawdown period.
Skippers of all craft are advised to exercise extra caution while navigating in this area during the drawdown period
