ADVICE (8am Monday 26 June until 5pm Saturday 30 September 2023)
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Standedge Tunnel, South West Portal and Bridge 66, Ward Lane Bridge on the Huddersfield Narrow canal to carry out essential repair works to a culvert.
To be able to carry out the necessary works, the contractors will be travelling from Sam Road car park and along the western towpath with the use of a motorised wheelbarrow.
We politely request towpath users to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop and wait for safe passage.
Please listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors and take note of the signage onsite.
