Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite adjacent to the site Carbogen Amcis, between Bridge 10, Ashton New Road Bridge and Bridge 11, Clayton Lane Road Bridge on the Ashton to carry out a canal profile survey.
To be able to carry out these works, the survey will be undertaken from a small boat within the canal which will be used to undertake a dip survey of the canal bed (hard & soft bed, together with the offside wall and towpath side wall, with use of a GPS locator).
Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, customers may be asked to wait no longer than 30 minutes to allow the third-party contractors make way for a safe passage.
Signage will be in place on both approaches to the works ahead.
