SHARPNESS DREDGING OPERATIONS MAY 2023
Customers are advised that dredging operations will commence on Tues 16th May.
Plough dredging will be conducted by the JD Marine vessel ‘Bev-D’ during limited daylight hours in the bell-mouth and inside the tidal basin.
‘Bev-D’ will be restricted in her ability to manoeuvre when operating, showing the relevant day signals.
Whilst operating, ‘Bev-D’ will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 13 and will liaise with any vessels entering or exiting Sharpness Port.
All vessels are requested to proceed with caution and allow a wide berth.
Further information can be gained directly from the vessel or from ‘Sharpness Radio’ on VHF channel 13.
An update will be communicated when operations are complete and this Local Notice to Mariners is cancelled.
