Canal banks between Motorway M6 Bridge and Reservoir Place Bridge

Navigation and towpath will remain open.
Contractors working on site will be undertaking vegetation clearance along north bank and south bank between Motorway M6 Bridge and Reservoir Place Bridge to prepare the banks for improvement works that are planned to be undertaken later in the year.
Vegetation clearance will be undertaken by trained operatives utilising a petrol brush-cutter and small chainsaws, with debris being collected by hand and moved over the boundary wall onto awaiting pick up tipper for disposal off site.
Signage and banksmen will be utilised. We kindly remind boaters and towpath users to follow signage and directions given on site.
