Third party contractors working for the gas company will be refurbishing the existing overhead gas pipe alongside the towpath bridge. A temporary scaffold will be installed but the canal and towpath will remain open and clearances will be retained.
Please approach with caution and follow any instructions given by the contractor. During installation and removal of the scaffold you may be asked to wait a few minutes until it is safe to pass the works. Warning signs and banksmen will be used.
