TOWPATH CLOSURE (6am Monday 12 December until 5pm Thursday 15 December 2022)
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge 101, Castle Street Bridge and Deansgate Railway Viaduct on the Rochdale Canal.
The third-party contractors will be removing an external AC unit from the building at the rear of the towpath. It will be necessary to close the towpath and a diversion route will be in place.
There is an access ramp at the side of Deansgate Railway Viaduct leading to the front of the buildings on to Castle Street.
Navigation will remain open, we request all boaters to reboard after leaving Lock 92, Castlefield and Lock 91 Deansgate.
Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite.
