Please be advised works to provide a new ultrasonic gauging station at Mepal will commence adjacent to the Mepal Bridge on 10 October 2022.
The gauging station will be made up of 2 transducer racks installed on either side of the banks on the New Bedford River. These racks will sit on piles which will be driven into the bank using a pontoon mounted
piling rig no larger than 13.65m by 6.3m thereby reducing the width of the channel in this area.
Please take care when navigating in this area and adhere to any signage or instructions from the contractors on
site.
