Please be advised works to provide a new ultrasonic gauging station at Mepal will commence adjacent to the Mepal Bridge on 5 October 2022 for 1 week. The gauging station will be made up of 2 transducer racks
installed on either side of the banks on the New Bedford River. These racks will sit on piles which will be driven into the bank using a pontoon mounted piling rig no larger than 13.65m by 6.3m thereby reducing the width of the channel in this area.
