Anyone intending to attend one of these events for the first time should contact the organisers beforehand and wear suitable clothing and footwear. If staying all day take a packed lunch unless other arrangement indicated.

IWA West Country Branch, Bridgwater: Meet at IWA blue cabin in Bridgwater Docks TA6 3EX at 10am until around 1.30pm to carry out a litter pick along various sections of the towpath and to remove rubbish from the dock basins.  Taunton work party at Bathpool, 10am until around 1pm to continue with litter picking along the footpath of River Tone between Bathpool and Hankridge. Meet at canalside car park, Dyers Green Lane, Bathpool TA2 8BZ. Hi-vis jackets, gloves and hard hats provided, but please bring your own safety footwear.  If you are under 18, you must be part of a supervised group.  IWA Birmingham, Black Country & Worcester Branch supporting  Waterway Recovery Group (WRG):  BCN Cleanup 2017. A great opportunity to have fun and meet new people while clearing shopping trolleys, tyres, bicycles and even more exciting treasurers from the canal.  This year volunteers will be working between Horseley Fields and Sneyd on the Wyrley & Essington Canal.  Contact Chris Morgan, cbmorgan@sky.com
