Tall Ships promise to enthrall the crowds

THE Northern Boat Show is being held over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend (May 25-28) to coincide with the Mersey River Festival and Tall Ships Liverpool 2018.

A huge fleet of tall ships is expected and an estimated one million spectators flocking to Liverpool’s waterfront.

The city will be transformed into three cultural festivals – Liverpool Festival in the city centre, Irish Festival at the Albert Dock and French Festival on the Pier Head, each with their own unique atmosphere and cultural experience.

Expect spectacular performances, unique entertainment, street animation and live music, as Liverpool waterfront is transformed.

Event director Richard Milbourn said: “You will not find a better weekend’s entertainment for your family. Most importantly, the festivals and tall ships are free events and visitors can even register for free pontoon tickets to look at the boats on display.”

This four-day boat show will showcase world class sailing boats, canal boats, power boats, ribs and marine products and services. The latest sailing and power boats will be showcased in Salthouse Dock and there will be a land-based exhibition on Salthouse Dock Quayside. The festival will be open from 12noon-5pm on Friday May 25, 11am-5pm on the Saturday and Sunday and 11am-4pm on Monday May 28.
