WALK off the festive excesses on a free three-mile guided walk along the disused section of the Pocklington Canal.
During 2019 this walk takes place on the first Sunday of every month from 1-3pm. Meet at the information centre at Canal Head. There is car parking, look for the picnic site brown signs off the A1079 opposite the Wellington Oak (disused) pub.
Run by volunteer walk leaders, these walks are part of the Heritage Lottery Supported ‘A Gem in the Landscape’ project on the canal.
Note that the towpath is a broad grassy track, and does get muddy in wet weather. Please wear sensible footwear. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Forthcoming walks are on January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5 and June 2.
