White Mills Marina on the River Nene at Earls Barton in Northamptonshire has rescheduled its 2020 open days.
White Mills had originally planned two open days in May and July this year however due to the pandemic both were unfortunately cancelled.
ow, the marina which was awarded four gold anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association last year, will be hosting its open weekends on 5th & 6th September and 26th & 27th September.
“We have had numerous phone calls from boaters who were either due to visit us at Crick Boat show or at one of our open days asking if we were rearranging our dates and so rather than leaving it until next year we have decided to host two open weekends in September.
“Both of the open weekends will be by appointment only which will enable us to give each visitor our undivided attention whilst adhering to all the safety guidelines.” Explained marina operations manager Gary Butcher.
The 141 berth marina opened in 2016 and has established itself as an essential stopping off point for visitors venturing onto the River Nene.
Since lockdown restrictions on the waterways were lifted the marina has been handing out free face coverings and gloves to visiting boaters.
