Pull Dawn Rose along the Chesterfield Canal

YOU could raise funds for the organisation or charity of your choice by taking part in the annual sponsored boat organised by the Friends of Dawn Rose.

Dawn Rose and her crew will be on the Chesterfield Canal from Saturday April 21 until Sunday May 6 and would like your help.

This is YOUR team’s opportunity to tow an authentic Chesterfield Canal boat along the canal Various lengths are available and it will cost a fee of £50 to adopt a length for your fund raising. Any other sponsorship you receive is for you to distribute at your discretion.

Saturday April 21: Shireoaks to Bracebridge, 3.5 miles, 9 locks
Bracebridge to Ranby 3.5 miles, 3 locks
Sunday April 22: Ranby to Forest Locks, 2.25 miles,  1lock
Monday and Tuesday April 23-24: rest days

Wednesday April 25: Forest Locks to Retford Town Lock, 2.5 miles, 4 locks
Thursday April 26: Retford Town Lock to Hop Pole,  1 mile, 1 lock
Friday April 27: rest day

Saturday April 28: Hop Pole to Clarborough, Gate Inn, 1.5 miles, 1 lock
Sunday April 29: Gate Inn to Clayworth (RWBC), 3 miles, 0 locks
Monday and Tuesday April 30 and May 1: rest days

Wednesday May 2: Clayworth to Drakeholes, 2.75 miles, 0 locks
Thursday and Friday May 3-4: rest days

Saturday May 5: Drakeholes to Shaw Lock, 2.5 miles, 1 lock
Sunday May 6: Shaw Lock to West Stockwith, 4 miles, 3 locks
