THE Canal & River Trust’s Living Waterways Awards, are now open for entries.
These Awards shine a spotlight on the amazing work done by individuals, communities and organisations to create vibrant, thriving, living waterways and that are transforming places and enriching lives.
Richard Parry, chief executive of the Canal & River Trust, explained: “We are delighted to open the 2018 awards for entries and we look forward to finding out about and recognising the most inspiring and exciting waterway-based projects across the UK.
“We are searching for those people and projects that have done the most to make a difference to the nation’s canals and rivers.”
There are six awards available:
- Art, Culture & Events
- Built Environment
- Engaging Communities
- Heritage & Conservation
- Learning & Skills
- Natural Environment
The awards are free to enter and close on Tuesday April 10. Entry forms can be downloaded at Living Waterways Awards
Finalists will be announced on Thursday July 5 and the winners at a gala ceremony in Birmingham on Wednesday September 19.
