NAVIGATION CLOSURE (4pm Monday 27 September until 8am Friday 1 October 2021)

Update on 11/08/2021:

As part of the repair works at Lock 50, we will be closing the Worcester & Birmingham Canal at Lock 57 at 3pm on both 27th and 28th September to allow sufficient time for boating customers to go through the work area before navigation closure at 4pm.

Lock 42 will also be closed at 5pm on both 27th and 28th September. We kindly request boating customers not to moor in this pound overnight for risks of low water levels when works take place.

Padlocks at Lock 42 and Lock 57 will be removed by 8am the following morning for boat passages to resume. Volunteer Lock Keepers will be onsite to assist customers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Original message:

Please bear with us when works take place overnight, starting from 4pm. The navigation will reopen for boating customers at 8am each morning for the duration of the works. The towpath will remain open throughout.
