Following the recent gate inspections, dive operations will be taking place within the canal channel at Granville Street Stop Gate and Worcester Bar Stop Gate between 31st January and 4th February to assist asset condition inspections.
We kindly request boating customers to approach with caution and follow directions from Dive Team Supervisor on site. Please be prepared to wait for a short period of time (no longer than 30 minutes) to allow divers to be removed from the navigation before safely passing this area.
RESTRICTION (8am Tuesday 4 January until 5pm Thursday 24 February 2022)
The towpath and navigation will remain open when contractors undertake gate inspections at Granville Street Stop Gate and Worcester Bar Stop Gate between 4th and 17th January. We kindly request boating customers to slow down on approach and be prepared to wait for a short period of time while contractors remove the plant for passages.
Following these inspections, from 24th January to 24th February, the dive team will undertake further inspections at these locations. We also kindly remind boating customers to take extra care when approaching this area; and be prepared to wait for a short while as divers move out of the way for passages.
