Fallen tree across navigation at Nun Monkton opposite entrance to River Nidd

Update on 04/10/2023:

The tree has been removed from the navigation

Update on 23/08/2022:

Contractors are still working on this large tree. However there is now enough room for wide beam boats to pass with care.

We will update this notice when the tree has been completely removed.

Update on 17/08/2022:

We have received further information regarding the length of the tree across the navigation and there is just enough passage for the width of a narrowboat to pass through the restriction.

Widebeams are unable to pass through the available width restriction caused by the tree.

We will update the notice when we receive further information regarding the removal of the tree.
