Book your stay in Liverpool on our visitor mooring in Salthouse Dock, with access via the Liverpool Canal Link all here on our website! You can choose your dates of your return passage via the Liverpool Canal Link and pick your preferred pontoon in Salthouse Dock. Please note, pontoons are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Liverpool Canal Link provides a navigable route from the bottom of the existing Stanley Lock Flight on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to Liverpool’s South Docks.

Stanley Lock flight, Prince’s Lock and Mann Island Lock are all customer operated with roving lock keepers and volunteers available for guidance. Times of operating the Stanley Lock flight are;

  • 8:00am – 9:30am from Mann Island travelling out of Liverpool Docks on to the Leeds and Liverpool canal
  • 1pm – 4pm travelling from the Leeds and Liverpool canal in to Liverpool Docks

The Stanley Lock flight will be padlocked outside these hours. Please note passages are daily, with no passages available on Tuesdays.

Use of Bridge 9, Handcock’s Swing Bridge is restricted during peak traffic times, open for customer operation from 9:30am to 2pm and 6pm to 7:30am, daily. Installation of the landing stages at Bridge 6, Netherton Swing Bridge have enabled customer operation, with no assistance required.

Stay in Salthouse Dock is free for up to 7 nights with extra nights costing just £20 per night. 2020 passages are now available to book, open from 27 March 2020 till 31 October 2020.

As of May 2018, we have a 28 day no return policy on the bookings. The web system will not allow bookings within this period to be taken.
