Mooring suspension on the Hertford Union Canal for the removal of 5 Sycamore trees
Bridge 3, Skew Bridge
ADVICE (8am-4pm Saturday 18 December 2021)
Please be advised that Hickson Wardle Tree Care will be removing 5 Sycamore trees along the Hertford Union by bridge 3, Skew bridge.
The trees are to be removed as they are currently undermining the canal bank wall. To prevent further damage to the wall the trees have been permitted to be removed.
A mooring suspension will be in place for 1 day to help facilitate the safe removal of the trees.
All works will be barriered off along the towpath. However, if required banksmen on the towpath may ask canal customers to wait whilst high risk branches are cut and lowered to the ground.
