Lock 6, Elland
Update on 05/05/2022:
Engineers have been on site and the repairs to the void have been completed.
The lock is fully reopen for crafts of all sizes.
Update on 05/04/2022:
The lock is open for narrowboat passage only. All skippers to take care entering and leaving the lock as only one lower gate fully operational.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (3pm Monday 4 April 2022 until further notice)
A large and deep void under the lock quadrant has been discovered at Elland Lock.
For safety reasons the area is being fenced off and lock operation is not possible.
Engineers are arranging to visit site and this notice will be updated when an assessment has been made
