A tale of kindness and friendship for all ages

by

THE festive season on the Puppet Theatre Barge continues with The Little Christmas Tree, which runs until the new year.
This new Christmas production combines exquisitely carved wooden marionettes and beautiful shadow puppets to tell the poignant story of the unique friendship between a boy and a little Christmas tree.
The tree is a bit wonky, so no one wants to buy it… that is until a young boy called Joe turns up and finds himself drawn to the tree. All he has to do now is get the rest of his family to agree to buy the tree and not to throw it away in the new year!
The Puppet Theatre Barge provides the perfect setting for this imaginative and atmospheric story – snow, magical lighting effects, cute little animals and a friendly policeman all guaranteed! It is suitable for everyone from three years old upwards.
There will be 3pm performances on Saturdays and Sundays until January 7 with the exception of December 24. On Saturday, December 23 there will be a relaxed performance at 11am and a captioned performance at 3pm.
Other dates are Wednesday, December 20 at 5pm; Thursday and Friday, December 21-22 at 11am and 3pm; Wednesday to Friday, December 27-29 at 3pm.
Described as ‘one of London’s more elusive treasures’, the Puppet Theatre Barge is moored at Little Venice, Blomfield Road, London W9 2PF (Warwick Avenue tube station). It is an established 55-seat theatre with all modern facilities.
Tickets: adults £12, children £8.50, concessions £10, no booking fee. Contact the box office on 0207 249 6876 or online at www.puppetbarge.com
