A new twist to a classic children’s tale

SPECIALLY commissioned by the Puppet Theatre Barge, prize winning writer Deborah Jones retells the popular story of Little Red Riding Hood with poetic beauty, humour and a new twist to the tale.

Red Riding Hood is presented with marionettes and shadow puppets, original music, lighting and effects and is an enchanting show for both adults and children alike.

Suitable for everyone down to three years old, it will run at weekends from Saturday May 19 until Sunday July 8 with 11am and 3pm performances on Saturdays and 3pm performances on Sundays. These will include a captioned performance on June 9 at 3pm and a relaxed performance at 11am on June 16.

During the half term holiday from Monday to Friday May 28-June 1, there will be shows at 3pm daily.

Described as ‘one of London’s more elusive treasures’, the Puppet Theatre Barge is moored at Little Venice, Blomfield Road, London W9 2PF (Warwick Avenue tube station). It is an established 55-seat theatre with all modern facilities.
