WEST

Tuesday April 23 and Saturday April 27

IWA Somerset Volunteers, Bridgwater Docks: Meet at IWA blue cabin in Bridgwater Docks TA6 3EX at 10am until around 1.15pm (ish). Please do not turn up unannounced hoping to take part as we must keep to a safe number of Volunteers attending each activity session, if planning to attend, contact volunteer co-ordinator Mike Slade before 6pm the day before the activity on 07977 263840, [email protected]

EAST

May 12 and 21

IWA Northampton Branch: Work parties are usually held one weekday and one Sunday a month, along the Arm, 10am-2pm. The tasks usually include vegetation clearance, weeding, litter picking and painting at locks. Contact: Geoff Wood at [email protected] for details.

Tuesdays

IWA Milton Keynes Branch: Regular work party at Fenny Lock on the Grand Union Canal. 9.30am- 1.30pm. Work can include vegetation clearance, gardening, litter picking, and painting. Work parties are dependent on weather. Contact Pat Durham on 07510 195918 or email [email protected]

IWA North Staffordshire & South Cheshire Branch with Trent & Mersey Canal Society: Work Party at Broughton Arms, Rode Heath, Cheshire Locks,10am-3pm. Birmingham Canal Navigations Society: April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, December 7. All events begin at the Titford Pump House, meet by 9am. http://bcnsociety.com/

Various dates

IWA Lichfield Branch : Canal towpath volunteering days held at various times throughout the year, they will be undertaking a variety of tasks along the towpaths, starting soon in the Rugeley and Great Haywood areas, and in various locations along northern section of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.
