by

THE Forth & Clyde Canal Society is looking for volunteers and new members to help crew and maintain the society’s boats. These include two passenger vessels, Voyager and Gypsy Princess, and Maryhill, a two-thirds scale replica of a puffer moored in Southbank Marina in Kirkintilloch.

Training is offered in boat maintenance, engineering, boat handling and working with the public. Members meet on Wednesday evenings between March and September at their moorings opposite the Stables Restaurant, on the outskirts of Kirkintilloch.

Any of the society’s boats can be chartered for trips on the canal and celebrations. Find out more about membership, volunteering and boat charter at forthandclyde.org.uk
