Volunteers sought for Anderton Boat Lift

Published: 02:52PM Feb 6th, 2012
By: Janet Richardson

LOCAL communities are being invited to play an active role in the future of their local waterway – with a special open evening being staged at Anderton Boat Lift for prospective volunteers.

It is being held on Thursday February 9 between 3pm and 7pm, giving people a first-hand chance to see how they might become involved and make a difference.

Anderton Boat Lift staff will on hand to talk about the roles and opportunities together with some of our existing volunteers who will be happy to share their experiences. For more information please contact Carly Hardy on 01606 786777.
