Drawing attention to ropes

WHEN visiting the riverside on many occasions here in York, I have been amazed at the number of boats using high-visibility ropes these days when mooring.

This does show many skippers are realising how helpful it is to many of our community who are visually impaired walking the river banks. Highlighting this responsible attitude, let’s hope that this practice spreads to all boat owners as their present ropes need replacing in the future.
