THANKS to Jo Lodge nb Hadar for this atmospheric photograph of the first ice of the winter at Grimes Bridge No.26 on the North Oxford Canal on Saturday December 10. Jo tells us that the overnight temperature had got down to -4.9c. The photo was taken at 7.30am as the moon was going down and there is a layer of ice on the canal.
